Why is After School Care So Important for Kids?

While most parents give a lot of importance to where their kid goes to school, sometimes afterschool programs are forgotten about. This is a big mistake, and it is one that people are starting to realize. There is a great shift in attitudes about the importance of a quality afterschool experience for a child. Even though traditional schools have long days, there is still not enough time for kids to get involved in certain activities. In addition, parents are usually not done with their jobs by the time 3PM on a weekday. This is where After school care near Lake Forest can become very helpful. Not only do kids get to spend time in quality programs, but the parents get a chance to finish up their work day before picking up the kids!

The right After school care near Lake Forest is not just about getting your kid more academic experience, or finding a place to look after him or her. It is about giving your kid a well-rounded experience that helps them on an academic, emotional and physical level. The best After school care near Lake Forest has a number of activities for children, along with stimulating exercises that help them make good decisions and be better human beings. Whether it is through sports, music, dancing or arts and crafts, children can have a lot of fun in these programs.

Here are three of the top benefits of after school programs near Lake Forest:

1. Improvement in Academics.

Statistics show that children who participate in these programs end up being more interested in their studies. They find things that are interesting to them, and they get better at their existing subjects. In addition, these students are more likely to attend school every day, instead of looking for ways to skip classes. Your child is far less likely to show developmental difficulties or drop out of school if they are part of a regular after school program.

2. Social Development

It is not only important for a student to excel at academics, but they should also have a focus on social skills and making good decisions. By interacting with people at afterschool programs, students get a chance to work on their social skills. If they spend time talking to other kids, getting advice from adults, or engaging in fun activities, they are far likelier to improve their behavior at school and in general.

3. Lower Rates of Alcohol/Drug Abuse

Sometimes children get into bad habits because they have nothing to do afterschool. Their parents are still working or busy, while they have no place to spend time. This leads to students gathering with each other or joining groups and gangs that encourage these bad behaviors. Children who spend time at afterschool programs are far less likely to abuse drugs or alcohol, while they also make better decisions in general. Rates for arrests and dropping out of high school are much lower, along with any other behavioral issues. This is why so many parents now know that they need to find the right after school programs near Lake Forest for their kids.

A Closer Look at Classical Curriculum

If you've never heard of a classical curriculum, then you may be interested in what exactly it is referring to. How can it make a difference in everything that you're doing? How does it help your child to grow and advance in their education? In this article, we're going to give you an idea as to what a classical curriculum is and how it can benefit your child as they grow and learn
.

Classical Curriculum

First off, you need to recognize that the process of a classical curriculum is made up of three parts, and each of those parts is making it so that the mind is able to adapt and think well. Also, a classical curriculum is set up in such a way that it follows the standard development of the child. Essentially, whatever stage the child is at, the classical curriculum is going to match up with it, making it much easier for the child to adapt to and embrace whatever it is that they're learning. Let's take a look at the three parts in more detail.

The first part of classical curriculum is all about the building blocks. At this point in time, the mind is ready to take in information, and educators work to make sure that the children are getting all of the information that they want or need in order to succeed. Memorizing information when they're in elementary school is actually an enjoyable experience, so giving them things to remember can really help them out. They will learn about all sorts of facts, including grammar, how to speak, descriptions of plants and animals, and more. By giving them information to learn, they have information to build upon as they get older.

The next part of the educational system is about analyzing information. This is that stage of life where kids start asking the question "why" all of the time. Instead of just learning the information that they were learning facts, they want to start to connect things and create situations where cause and effect play a role in what they're learning. So, during this stage, the curriculum will shift from learning facts to learning how to think a bit more. How does that caterpillar turn into a butterfly? Why do we get sick? How do birds and planes fly? By giving children the ability to be curious and explore how things work and are put together, we help to encourage this, and thus make it easier for them to learn as life goes on. This logical stage is incredibly important to a child's development, and so the curriculum matches that and allows them to explore.

The last stage of the classical curriculum is about helping the child to find and embrace the things that they enjoy and want to learn about. This is where they go to different events and learn about the things they want to learn about. Are they interested in music? Then now's the time for singing or musical instrument lessons. Are they interested in art? Allow them to take art classes during school. By giving them the freedom of individuality and the ability to explore anything and everything that they want to learn about when it comes to their education, children start becoming the adults that they want to be. This is where they decide (at least, for the first time) what they may want to explore when they go on to higher education. This may also be where children want to explore potential interests as well, and determine which they like and which they dislike. This is, essentially, a higher form of exploration than the previous step, and the curriculum parallels that stage.

The Benefits of Daycare

daycare in Lake County

When you’re looking to send your child to daycare in Lake County, you’re probably trying to figure out what would be the best course of action, and why you would even want to think about doing it in the first place. There are so many different things that you will want to consider, so for that reason, we wanted to write an article to give you a better idea as to why daycare could, and likely is, a good option for you and your family when it comes to giving your child the tools that they need in order to be able to succeed later on in their lives. Here are just a few to consider.

The Benefits of Daycare for Families

There are a lot of benefits to daycare for families, which is why they have become so popular in recent years. Some of the main benefits that entire families will have can include, but definitely are not limited to the following.

-          It gives families a safe place for their children to go while they are at work, and the environment helps them to take care of the child appropriately.

-          Some daycares will provide food for children that is included in the tuition. This, of course, will vary based on the daycare that you send your children to, but you’ll find that out when you apply and when you pay.
-          It allows families to share the educational concerns that may crop up, because many of them have a preschool environment that allows them to learn while they are staying at the daycare during the day.
-          Daycares are incredibly affordable, depending on where you go and what sort of school that you’re looking for. On top of that, many of these schools have some sort of assistance available for the kids in their care, especially if there are multiple children in one family, so you can make it that much more affordable.

The Benefits of Daycare for Children

Of course, there are a number of benefits of daycare for the children who get to go and engage with it as well. Here are just a few of the benefits that your children will likely encounter when they are enrolled in a daycare.

-          It helps them to learn how to socialize before they are in a more formal classroom environment, which can help to reduce their stress and to increase the enjoyment that they get from going to school.

-          It gets them used to being away from you for an extended period of time throughout the day, making the transition to all-day school a little easier than it would have been otherwise, for both you and them.

-          It helps them get experiences that they may not have gotten in any other capacity, by going on field trips and interacting with people that they may not have interacted with otherwise.

-          It allows children to be children together, and by having that advantage as part of their experience while growing up, they will feel more comfortable in those sorts of environments and with those interactions and experiences.

So, as you can see, there are a lot of different benefits that you will likely encounter as you enroll your child into Daycare in LakeCounty . You will want to make sure that you get the most out it, and by engaging with a daycare system that is friendly and puts the needs of your children first, you will feel like they are going to be ready to move on when

Pre-Schools near Lake Forest and My Family

One thing that I always wanted to do was to make sure that my little ones got the best education that they could, no matter how long it took or what we had to do in order to make sure that it happened. With that in mind, as soon as my children were old enough, I started looking at pre-schools near Lake Forest. After doing a whole lot of research and taking the time to figure out what I wanted, I found a preschool that was going to match the needs that I had. Here is what our experience looked like.

First off, I looked around and tried to find what I thought would be the best when it came to pre-schools near Lake Forest. I wanted to find one that was going to be able to give my little ones the education that they deserved and that would help them to get ready to navigate whatever it was that they were going to experience when they got to elementary school. I looked at the various opportunities that were given to students there and I made sure that all of my questions were answered. Then I broke it down to a few schools that I talked to and visited.

After looking around at the various schools, I came across one that I fell in love with. The teachers and staff were incredibly friendly to me from the minute that I walked in the door, and I felt comfortable with the environment as well. The kids seemed engaged with what was going on, and they felt comfortable with the teachers as well. There was no yelling and no arguing, and if there was a conflict (which there was one minor one while I was visiting), it got dealt with appropriately. In short, it was how preschool should be. I brought my oldest to visit for an hour or so, and when we left, she asked when she could come back - I knew it was the right place.

Ever since my first child started going to this preschool, I have been incredibly happy. She comes home every single day with a smile on her face and she can't wait to tell me what they learned and did while they were in school that day. On top of that, I get progress reports on a regular basis so that I can see what is going on and so that I can continue to support her as she learns. I will definitely be sending the other two to this same preschool.

So, if you have been on the fence about looking at pre-schools near Lake Forest, you definitely should try them out and see what one is best for your needs. I recommend you start looking soon, as most have enrollment periods, but you will be happy if you take the time to research and find the one that you need. Good luck with this next step in your life!

Finding a Daycare Near Lake Bluff

There are a number of different things that you may be looking for when you’re trying to find a daycare near Lake Bluff that will fit your needs. I know that there were a lot of things that I was trying to find, especially when it came to figuring out the best course of action for my little one’s care and development. Here are just a few of the things that I was looking for when I tried to find a daycare near Lake Bluff that would fit my needs.

I wanted a daycare that had the schedule that I needed. Everyone has busy lives, so it’s important to make sure that you work with a daycare that is going to be able to take care of the times that you need them to be there. Thankfully, the hours that I’m gone are during the day, so it’s a lot easier for me to find a schedule that worked for me. There are a lot of daycares near Lake Bluff that fit within the normal schedule, and even a few that go outside of it as well.

I wanted a daycare that would also help with the learning process. You don’t just want to drop off your kids and have them hang out and watch TV all day – they could do that with a babysitter. You want to make sure that your child is getting the socialization and the interaction that they need. A good daycare will help them to learn how to interact with other kids appropriately and give you the resources to help them grow and become more educated. I needed the balance between daycare and preschool, and I definitely was able to find it at a number of facilities in and around the area.

I needed a daycare that was affordable. Obviously, the care that my children were going to get and the educational benefits were a huge deal, but I wanted to make sure that it was something that I could afford as well. This took a little more research, because daycares run the gamut when it comes to cost, but I was able to find the numbers easily. I did end up going out of my budget just a little bit, but it was because I found a daycare that was going to meet the needs of my children better, and I felt like that was worth the extra cost.

There were so many factors that I was looking for that I didn’t think I’d be able to find. The good news was, I found a daycare near Lake Bluff that was able to take care of my needs and gave my children and I exactly what was necessary in order to fix things. I’m incredibly happy with the results that I got and I want to make sure that other parents have the same experience. Use these criteria for your own search and see how much of a difference that it will make.

The Importance of Classical Curriculum

The Importance of Classical Curriculum

Classical curriculum is something that doesn’t get talked about that much anymore because of how important that Common Core has become when you’re looking at the curriculum that people are using in the classroom. The issue is, there are actually a lot of reasons why people end up using classical curriculum instead - and here are some of the main reasons as to why it is actually shown to be a lot better than some of the other options that are available.

It encourages students to engage with others One issue that a lot of classrooms have is that it’s all about “me me me” and the education of the individual. Classical curriculum does it a lot differently, so instead of being about the individual, it’s about the learning environment and how it can benefit everyone. It helps students to feel comfortable asking people for help and allows them to engage with their fellow students and those around them. It helps to increase sociability and makes sure that those who are in the learning environment don’t feel intimidated or afraid of looking to other people when they need assistance.

It encourages students to engage with the world around them. One thing that classical curriculum does that you can’t find in other types of teaching is that children are encouraged to look at the world around them. This may sound odd, but instead of just being stuck with theoretical things on paper, classical curriculum encourages students to look at the world around them and see how much of a difference that it can make when it comes to their education. They think about practical ways of going about their lives, instead of just talking about how they could possibly do so in the future, maybe at some point.

It gives students control over their own learning experience. Common core forces ideas down the throats of children, even if they aren’t really that enthused about learning about such things. In classical curriculum, it’s very different because children are not only encouraged, but assisted in making a learning experience that is going to be beneficial to them and their needs. By having a learning experience that is more personalized, children learn a lot more and feel more comfortable with what the learning process looks like. And who doesn’t want to see that when their children are in a school environment?

It has been shown to have better results as the children get older. This is, of course, something that we all want for our children during their educational career. We want to make sure that they are getting the most from their education and that they can thrive when they’re put in an educational environment in the future. By having them go through classical curriculum based environments, you will find that they have a much easier time with it and, on top of that, they feel more comfortable with the results. They are given the tools that they need to think critically, which will also help them do better at life in general, especially in the workplace and in college.

So as you can see, there are a lot of different reasons that you may want to consider finding a school that has a classical curriculum model that they use on a regular basis. Are you looking for more information about a school that can help you with all of your needs? Then you will definitely, at the very least, want to take a look at this school to get an idea as to how they can help you.

Should You Consider Early Childhood Education?

One question that a lot of parents have when they are starting to look at their 3 and 4 year old children is whether or not they’re going to be able to figure out the best course of action when it comes to educating their children. What can be done in order to ensure that your child is going to be ready when it’s time for them to go on to elementary school?

http://www.eastlakeacademy.org
One of the biggest reasons that a lot of people will end up thinking about is involving their child in early childhood education in Lake Forest. There are so many different things that early childhood education can do. Many people cite that the most important one, above everything else that they may come across, is the fact that their children are taught how to interact with other children in a school environment. I know that my little one had a hard time with that at first, but as time went on, the environment played a huge role in ensuring that he was going to feel comfortable and function well when he started Kindergarten. He wasn’t really sure how to function in the classroom, but with some practice, he feels more comfortable and isn’t as worried about how everything that happens in the classroom, which has helped to reduce his stress. We’ll have to see how well it actually worked, but it, at the very least, ended up being incredibly beneficial for now.

Another interesting thing that people cite when they’re looking into early childhood education is that they want to make sure that their children are academically ready to go into elementary school. I know that I was a little concerned because of how late my son started reading, but once I got him into an environment where learning was the norm and that he was with professional teachers that could take the time to help him with whatever it was that he was struggling with, he started to thrive. In all honesty, I was incredibly impressed by how much of a difference that it made that quickly – and he continues to do well with learning to this day.

In short, I was really happy that I decided to put my child into early childhood education in Lake Forest.
There were a lot of things that I had to consider during my search, but it was definitely the right choice to make when I looked at the big picture of his education and how his future was going to be. I know that I will be looking at it when my second child gets to the appropriate age as well, because I know how much of a difference that it is currently making for my oldest. If you’re on the fence, look around and talk to some people from the schools that you’re considering. You’ll end up feeling a lot better about the results and your child will end up thriving in the environment.
